125th Birthday Celebrations

On Wednesday 25th July the Diocese of Newcastle celebrated its 125th Anniversary; a special service was held at the Cathedral to celebrate the event, which was led by Bishop Martin. The Archbishop of York, The Most Reverend and Right Honourable John Sentamu (pictured), preached at the service, which marked 125 years to the day since the first Bishop of Newcastle was enthroned at Durham Cathedral.

To coincide with the service, the Cathedral also launched its new website.
